Inclusion Sessions
We currently deliver several inclusion sessions, funded through Wesport, and we have a full-time Inclusion Officer thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Tuesday evenings: Our Disability Football sessions take place at Hayesfield School. These sessions are for young people 8 - 15 years of age. The group is divided into two age groups, and this session is ideal for ambulant children with additional needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Neurodiverse individuals, and similar conditions.
We are working in partnership with Avon & Somerset Police to help work with young people who may be at risk or involved with anti-social behaviour. We run workshops throughout the year in Secondary schools to educate young people around various lifestyle choices & consequences.
On a Tuesday evening from 3.30 PM – 5.30 PM, we are working in partnership with Young Bristol to run youth sessions in Keynsham. This is funded through the Crime Prevention through Sport fund in conjunction with Wesport. The session consists of a variety of sports on offer and a chillout space on the Young Bristol Youth bus where young people can have their own space and feel free to engage in a variety of activities or just share a conversation. The project started in June 2021 and runs until November 2021.
Weston Together - Thursday from 4.30pm - 5.30pm at Weston Youth Hub. Do you know an 8-16 year old that would benefit from an hour of FREE football every week? Thanks to generous support from Anthem Publishing we are able to offer weekly football for young people living in Weston & Newbridge.
