Foundation Receive National Lottery Funding

Thanks to National Lottery players, Bath City FC Foundation have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund towards the role of an Inclusion Officer. This Inclusion Officer will oversee our aim to  improve the health and wellbeing of at least 300 people a year that live in Twerton and Whiteway. We want to remove as many barriers to participants as possible using the power of football to engage with people that do not traditionally seek support from statutory partners or other charities. With dedicated support from a full time Inclusion Officer and a properly resourced Communications Assistant we are confident we can make use of this new 3G pitch facility to bring people together, improve their health and well being and reduce social isolation. We want to establish pathways for some participants to become volunteers and then potentially paid members of staff that are able to share their lived experience with other participants. The intention is that Twerton Park becomes a safe space for people in the local community where they can enjoy a match, take part in activities, meet other members of their community and learn in a supportive environment.
